Valcare Trust collects all information regarding the various charity organisations and projects that offer welfare services, as well as information from all Christian denominations situated in Paarl. Their up-to-date database holds information of approximately 250 projects/organisations and 127 Christian congregations, and was created through the combined efforts of the Drakenstein Municipality, students from Huguenot College, Welvisi and Paarl Post.
Providing a network
4 network meetings are organised annually, where organisations can interact with one another, and identify and communicate needs in areas such as HIV/AIDS, TB, sexual crimes, substance dependency and unemployment.
Broader network
Through Valcare a workshop is held annually, inviting network organisations from Boland, Cape Peninsula and Southern Cape with the purpose of sharing knowledge about serving the community.
