THE Paarl Valley Eisteddfod (PVE) arranges the annual Eisteddfod whereby the talents of children and adults are adjudicated and awarded with certificates.
The PVE has been in existence since 1996 and draws artists from beyond the area, such as Ceres, Worcester, Vredenburg, Stellenbosch and Cape Town.
Schools, institutions, choirs, youth or adult groups are invited to enter any of the 18 art disciplines, in either ballet, contemporary and modern dances, recitation, national and folk dances and musical plays, keyboard, wind instruments, wood winds, brass, strings, soloists, choirs, classical guitar, recorder, piano (junior and senior), rhythmical music - percussion, orchestra, orchestral percussion and visual arts.
Affiliations to the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod close on 29 February. Ballet and contemporary dance entries close on 13 April, while all other entries close on 8 June. The registration form is available at www.pve.yolasite. com or contact Abie Martin on 021 870 1569 or 083 474 1210.
