NEWCOMER M-Pact’s first unbeaten run in the open challenge dart competition recently, shows the opponents what they can expect for the season ahead.

M-Pact beat Mount View, Independent Flyers A, La Motte, Charlies and Drakenstein to claim their first gold for 2012.

In the plate section it was Independent Flyers C who were victorious when they beat Franschhoek, Stars, Ambassadors and Independent Flyers B.

A total of 6x180 (highest total with three darts) was delivered by Charl Pietersen (DDC), Genadé Williams (M-Pact), Brian Williams (Independent Flyers) and Ryno Abrahams (Stars). Norman Taute threw 171 (3x triple 19) while newcomer Byron Julius (Independent Flyers) closed the total of 117.

The annual general meeting of the Drakenstein Darts Association takes place on 12 February at 11:00 at the Ambagsvallei Indoor Sports Centre in Paarl.
