IN celebration of the harvest, Laborie wine farm in Paarl South will be offering visitors to their Lazy Days Market on Saturday 25 February the opportunity to participate in the grape harvest.

Experience harvesting the grapes from the vineyards, whereafter you’ll get the opportunity to stomp the fruit in large wine barrels. This fun-filled activity will take place from 08:00 to 10:00 at Laborie’s Cellar Door at a cost of R50 per person, and is limited to 50 people, so booking is essential.

Your ticket includes a bottle of water as well as amarket voucher. After working up an appetite, meet up with friends and family at the market, which operates until 14:00.

In a break with tradition, the harvesting activities will take place at dusk with popular South African instrumental supergroup Sterling EQ afterwards providing entertainment during a picnic-dinner under the stars.

Tickets cost R200 per person (includes cocktails and snacks beforehand and the picnic-dinner and a bottle of wine per couple) and R65 per child under 12 years.
